Serge Yanic Nana

President & CEO, FINANCIA Capital

Mr. NANA has more than 20 years of experience in Project Finance, infrastructures finance, mining, energy, transport, insurance, and Public-Private Partnerships.

He started his career in Canada in 1995 with Metropolitan Life Insurance Company as an Associate Actuary before joining Manulife Financial in Toronto, then the Hannover Re Life Reinsurance Company in the United States of America as a Senior Actuary.

He joined BMCE Capital, the investment bank branch of the Moroccan Banking Group BMCE BANK as Deputy Managing Director for the West African region based in Senegal. In 2007, he became the General Manager of BMCE Capital Cameroon in charge of Central Africa region. In 2013, he founded FINANCIA Capital, as a result of the acquisition of BMCE Capital Cameroon. Activities out of Morocco were further developed with the opening of an office in the Casablanca Finance City hub.

Since 2016, the FINANCIA Group has been developing a 180-keys 5* Radisson Blu hotel in Douala, Cameroon.

Mr. NANA holds a Master of Arts & Science in Statistics and Actuarial Science from Concordia University in Montreal, and a Master in Applied Mathematics from University Paris Diderot in Paris.
