Sami Nasser

Chief Operating Officer, Middle East & Africa, AccorHotels

Sami Nasser graduated from the INSEAD France Advanced Management Programme as well as the PDP in Hotel Marketing from Cornell, Ithaca University, New York.

Prior to his appointment, Nasser served as Chief Operating Officer for AccorHotels luxury portfolio in the Middle East, overseeing a portfolio of 40 hotels. In his new role, he will oversee more than 125 operational hotels and 50 pipeline hotels across all brands in North Africa, Levant, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Indian Ocean.

He assumes his new challenge with over 25 years of relevant experience, collected from a number of international brands, including AccorHotels and FRHI Hotels & Resorts. Previously he served as Senior Vice President of Operations for Middle East, Africa and India at Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (FRHI Hotels and Resorts) and was responsible for providing leadership to the Middle East, Africa and India region for Fairmont, Raffles and Swissôtel. His main goal was to develop strong relationships with key partners and owners and consolidate the group’s vision and values, whilst increasing financial performance, as well as spearheading crucial project rollouts and new properties developments.
